1. Catch the final sunset
Check out one of Barbados’ famous sunsets with a little extra magic since it’s the last of the year. Visit a beach bar on the West or South-West Coast like Copacabanna and enjoy a spectacular view of the sun setting behind the horizon and a strong Bajan Rum Punch or another festive, local beverage.

2. Dine at one of our fine dining restaurants.
What better way to celebrate the end of the decade than enjoying a delicious meal at one of the top restaurants in the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean? Hurry and make your reservation at The Cliff, Cin Cin by the Sea, Tides or Daphne’s on the West Coast or Champers on the South Coast where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean over a delectable spread.

3. Attend a Gala at Sugar Cane Club Hotel and Spa
Enjoy An Evening of Elegance at our sister hotel. Mingle with other guests at the Champagne Waterfall Reception, then tuck in to a delicious meal, either buffet or a la carte, before counting down to the big balloon drop!

4. Admire the fireworks from the Caribbean Sea
It may not be too late to book your space on a catamaran for Old Years. Sail across the Caribbean Sea, anchor and enjoy a spectacular view of the fireworks from the ocean while enjoying a delicious meal.

5. Or watch the fireworks from the beach
An inexpensive option, feel free to head down to Hilton beach to enjoy the island’s biggest firework display. Pack a picnic and make a full night of it. If you’re looking for less of a crowd, try one of the West Coast beaches where you’re still guaranteed to get a glimpse of the fireworks from other parts of the island.

6. Attend a fancy party or a more casual fete
There are tons of parties, from the more formal to casual, that you can purchase tickets for. Dress up in your best and head out to celebrate the end of the decade in style.

7. Catch the first sunrise
In keeping with saying goodbye to the last sunset, welcome the first light on the East Coast. Whether you decided to go out on the town or not, enjoy the drive down to Bathsheba, Bath or Cattlewash to catch the first rays of the new year.

Regardless of how you choose to celebrate the dawn of 2020, Barbados offers tons of options, more than we’ve listed, for you to choose from. If you’re considering spending the holidays somewhere special, then Worthing Court may be the perfect place to stay.
