Green Policy

Worthing Court Apartment Hotel has acknowledged the need of becoming green in today's present economic and global environmental state. We are in the beginning stages of developing an Eco-friendly policy at our hotel, and you can also help us, help your environment, by following some basic "Hotel Eco- Etiquette":

Get unplugged: Many people don't realize that their cell phone charger, laptop cable and other electrical plugs drain power while they are plugged in, even if they are not in use. In fact, only 5% of the power used by an average cell phone charger is used to charge the phone - the other 95% is wasted energy!

Seize the day: Take advantage of natural light and our refreshing and natural island breeze - it is as renewing for your mood as it is for our planet.

Chill out: We let you adjust the room temperature. Always set the temperature around 76-78 degrees in to maximize both energy efficiency and personal comfort. Remember at night it is much cooler, so you can set your AC at a higher temperature.

Lights out & TV off: Keeping the bathroom light off overnight will not only make a big impact but it will help you to sleep better. Traveling with a nightlight is an easy, eco-friendly alternative. Also remember when leaving your guest room to turn off all lights, A/C and your TV, as you would usually do when you are at home.

You make the choice: How many of you change your linen and towels every day at home?  Please let your housekeeper know if you don't want your towels to be refreshed daily. A towel on the rack means "I will use again" and A towel on the floor means "Please Replace".

Fans can also help cool your guest room: While fans cannot replace air conditioners, they can provide supplemental cooling, especially on mild summer days. In our 1 bedroom suites, substituting fans for air conditioners can save 60% or more in energy!!!
